劇情簡介
由《致命武器》黑人明星丹尼．格洛佛主演的黑人家庭倫理片，描述居住在洛杉磯市中心的一個都市化黑人家庭，因為一位來自南方鄉下的神秘友人突然前來拜訪，導致男主人原有的安定生活產生了動搖。他經年累月積存下來的挫折失敗感一旦爆發，以致帶著“憤怒睡眠"（本片原名）。導演查爾斯．班納往男主角身上拋出一個球，從他接球後的戲劇化反應，讓觀眾看到每個人都有同感的生活陰暗面，並從而思考什麼才是生命中最重要的東西？想了解當前美國黑人文化和社會處境，本片是一個很好的參考素材。
