劇情簡介
馬克惠塔克究竟在打什麼鬼主意？惠塔克（麥特戴蒙）是農產科技業龍頭阿徹丹尼爾斯米德蘭公司的明日之星，但他卻突然變成抓耙子。他向聯邦調查局告密洩漏公司跨國定價暗藏的陰謀，幻想自己被當作英雄擁戴、加薪升職。但要讓他的美夢成真，聯邦調查局得先掌握證據才行，所以惠塔克興致勃勃的答應配戴竊聽設備，在公事包裡藏著錄音機，假裝自己是某個祕密探員。倒楣的聯邦調查局發現，他們的頭號人證對公司資金流向交代不清，他們無法判斷，這一切究竟是事實，還是出自惠塔克天馬行空的想像。
