劇情簡介
本片根據湯姆沃夫的小說拍攝而成，敘述航空試飛員查克葉格（山姆謝普 飾）如何打破音障飛行，繼而和其他幾位試飛員一起成為美國史上首批太空人，在冷戰時期進行宣揚國威的「水星計畫」。本片集驚險、詼諧和特效於一身，除了記錄首批太空人背後的艱辛，更向他們的偉大成就致敬。
