劇情簡介
早年喪父的10歲少女菲奧娜，出生自烏干達一個貧民家庭，無緣接受教育的她，只能提早出來打拼幫補家計，與母親及姊弟過著捉襟見肘的生活。一次偶然機會，菲奧娜的棋藝天賦被教練羅柏賞識，在他悉心指導下果然進步神速，更拾級而上贏得多項賽事……然而在棋盤上獲得一時勝利，是否就能永久改善生活，甚至令破碎家庭感動重圓？
