劇情簡介
一場嚴重的車禍，奪去了科研工作者埃瑞克·諾裏斯（理查德·哈奇 Richard Hatch 飾）妻兒的性命。從此他孑然一身，將全部精力撲在了研究上。然而他的研究也並非一帆風順，艾滋病毒藥物的實驗久久未見突破，老闆斯令（沃特·科尼格 Walter Koenig 飾）的臉色也越來越難看。埃瑞克焦頭爛額，根本無心理睬女同事艾曼達（考特尼·派爾頓 Courtney Peldon 飾）殷勤的愛意。在一次的失敗，使得埃瑞克心情分外沮喪，艾曼達的適時安撫讓他暫時平復。不過上天似乎有意折磨這個命運多舛的男子，次日他發現自己體內長了一個致命的寄生蟲，性命危在旦夕。 而這一切都與好友安德烈前幾天送來的隕石有關，埃瑞克的人生發生了令人難以置信的變化……
