Karim Samy

Karim Samy is an actor, writer and director. He graduated from the English Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University and the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, Department of Acting and Directing, and the third batch at the Artistic Creativity Center, Khaled Galal Workshop. During his studies, he acted and directed many theatrical performances, which participated in several international, Arab and local festivals. The most important of which was the play "Out of Text", which received numerous accolades.He co-wrote the short film "The Door", which won several awards, including first place and Best Screenplay at the 48 Hours Film Festival. Karim directed the play Hazelqoum (2020) starring Ahmed Mekky and was a first assistant director in the play 3 Days in the Coast (2019) for Mohamed Henedy. His writing credits include season 5&6 of Theater Misr, and the play Blessed Morning (2020).
