Alexey Chupov was born in 1973 in Moscow, and graduated from the Moscow State University. He studied Movie History at Wake Forest University in the United States, and started out working as a TV journalist. Together with his wife Natasha Merkulova he wrote and directed the film INTIMATE PARTS (2013).
